Ariane is a very talented designer who brings out the best in her clients. She is a keen listener and takes the time to discuss ideas, fabrics and cuts with you at the beginning of the creative process. She knows how to use form, structure and colour to flatter any figure, complexion, age and personality. She pushes you to the limits of your comfort zone, but never goes beyond. In short, you leave Ariane’s studio looking and feeling fabulous.
I was lucky enough to have Ariane design an evening outfit for me which I then got to model myself at a charity fashion show. I normally wear a lot of dresses, and I expected that Ariane would put me in a dress this time too. Interestingly, she created a bustier and tuxedo trousers instead. I was a bit uncertain at first, because I am quite curvy (US size 14, EU size 44) and don’t feel comfortable without a supportive bra with thick straps. Ariane assured me that the bustier she made would be supportive, and it most certainly was! I was amazed by how sexy I looked and how confident I felt, both during the fashion show and when I wore the outfit subsequently. She took a lot of time to make sure that everything fit perfectly, that it worked with my figure, and that I was fully comfortable.
As for the modelling experience itself, I initially thought it would be just a laugh, but it turned out to be a very professional event with runway hair, makeup and direction. Ariane had prepared a collection worn by professional models, but wanted to show off her skills by dressing the “average woman” too this worked beautifully and we all felt extremely confident as Ariane had asked one of the professional models to share her catwalk tips and tricks with us. I learned a lot about how to “wear” an outfit with poise.
I highly recommend Ariane to anyone considering having a bespoke outfit made, whether it be for a special occasion or for everyday wear.
